Interview # 3 Mr Scratch & Sniff Iron Warriors

Hi!
Today we go to a chaotic project, start by Mr Scratch & Sniff, this English of 29 years old build an impressive iron warriors army, an opportunity to cross this post of highly-rated dark of the chaos.

Since how many time are you working on this army?
Started working on this army last April. I had previously sold an Eldar army and used the funds to purchase a new one. I have always been a fan of Chaos, particularly Iron Warriors, so decided to 'jump in' and give it a go!

Have you an army list for more details on its composition?
I do have an army list but it is constantly changing so will have to get back to you on that one.

Since how many time are you in the hobby?
I was first introduced to 40K back in 1994, where I recieved a copy of 2nd eddition 40k for a christmas present. I have been hooked ever since and my passion for it is still growing.

Why this army and not an other?
I have collected a number of armys over the years (pretty much all of them infact!) but never had a Chaos one. Which was silly because I am a big fan of the 'bad guys'. So, as mentioned earlier, I purchased my first models last april and since then the army has been getting stronger and stronger.

What's yours future projects?
As to the future, still sticking with Chaos, I'm going to re-paint my army with the new scheme I applied to my recently painted Reaver Titan. I would also like to include some squads of mkIII armour and some Rogue Trader Vehicles to have a pre-heresy theme.
I need to finish my ThunderHawk, maybe even buy a real one! And I really fancy turniing one of those Contemptor Dreadnoughts in too a chaotic nightmare!!
So lots and lots to do yet!!

Interview # 2 Marco Svizzero Blood Angels

Hi every body!
Today we are going to evoke the blood angels army of Marco Svizzero.

Since how many time are you working on this army?
I have been working on this army for over two years. Painting each blood angel takes around two and a half hours, so it can be pretty laborious painting red all the time so I branch out on side projects often.

Have you an army list for more details on its composition?

I am structuring the army around the blood angels 2nd company and support units. The army will have 100% of the 2nd company and about 30% of the 1st company and 20% of the 10th company.

 

Since how many time are you in the hobby?

I have been in the hobby for 15 years.

Why this army and not an other?
I started the blood angels when GW released the updated 4th edition mini codex in White Dwarf. Blood Angels were not a popular army before the codex came out and I just wanted to give them a try.

Finally what's yours future projects?
I will be painting some Astral Claws and more Red Scorpions on the side for a Badab War Campaign. I am also throwing around the idea of painting and converting all of the badab characters. Outside of the warhammer world I have been spending a lot of time working on building and tuning my car.

News # 4 Games Day Uk

Hi!
Here is the ended English games day, many News of the highly-rated of FW, the imperial armour vol 11: the doom of Mymeara, should not delay going out, with still some news to come, with The Wolf Lord of the 12th Company of the Space Wolves Bran redmaw, an eldar phoenix lord for shadows spectres, new weapon for phantom titan and imperial guard rapier...

Imperial armour vol 12: The Morros incident is confirmed, no Dark Eldar, set on imperial prison planet of Morros prime, projects of imperial penitent regiment, chapter of minotaurs, attack by Tzeentch Choas Space marines, this world is a labyrinthine subterranean prison complexes and a barren rock planet surface.

Return to Armageddon # 1 Beginnings of the project

What's the Armageddon project?

The project return on Armageddon is a personal project aiming at playing apocalypse, on a world always at war. You will see all armies there whether it is orks, space marines, and imperial guard.
On this project paint will be made by 2 peoples, orks will be painted by Sigur, Space marines (Sigur and me according to chapters) and finally the imperial guard by myself.

what will be the first armies?

The first armies to be treated will be the  ork evil sunz clan, the death korps of krieg / and the chapter of salamanders. Let be neighborhood 6000pts of every forces. Orks is already good advanced, the death korps is just start and raptor will come at the end of this first part of project.

It is already about a vast first part.

what's the next?

In parallel or later is planned, a wintry table with numerous types of terrains, the other space marines chapters (space wolves, raptors,, celestial lions, exorcits, blood angels), other imperial guard armies (steel legion, orks hunter, elysian, cadian) and orks ^^ with orther clans (goff, Blood axe, deathskulls).

Actually only orks army lists are all finished and I hope a speed Armageddon part 2.

Legio titanicus and sister of battle will also be included in the project.

The characters of armageddon will be obviously there, and many apocalypse formation and unity thread will be analyzed, every time I hope with my miniatures.
Not to remain confined to Armageddon, I am going to try to treat apocalypse units of the other armies.

News # 2

Forge world shows us a little more on the future news to come. The new Warhammer book will be available at English Games Day, and for 40k adepts 2 others news miniatures were avaible.

After the Land Raider Proteus (News # 1) space marines gamers will have Mk1c Deimos Pattern Rhino for 33£

The ubiquitous Rhino Armoured Personnel Carrier is a mainstay of the Space Marine Chapters, and has been in continuous use for ten thousand years. Its true origins are more distant still, and ancient records mention the RH1-N-0 Tracked Exploration and Multi-Purpose Defence Vehicle STC accompanying explorator missions during Mankind’s Golden Age. Re-armed and re-purposed for military use, the Rhino has remained a mainstay of the Imperium’s might over the millennia since.

There are many known patterns and designs of this robust vehicle, and the Mk1c Deimos Pattern Rhino is among the oldest variants, first issued en-masse to the Astartes Legions of the Great Crusade. This pattern is armed with two turret-mounted bolters, slaved to the target-logis systems of the Rhino’s machine spirit rather than the more common pintle-mounted storm bolter seen on both the earlier MkIb Mars Pattern vehicle and the later MkIIc design that became more common after the Horus Heresy.



And in this space marines wave, success of contemptor dreadnought wasn't finish because Relic Contemptor Dreadnought will be available for 32£.

Given the rarity of the Contemptor-pattern chassis, it is not uncommon for those Chapters blessed enough to count these ancient war machines amongst their arsenal to embellish their armoured sarcophagus with scripture, honour scrolls and additional details to commemorate the heroism and indomitable valour of the Ancient enshrined within.

Still many beautyfull miniatures to future apocalypse and 40k games!

on the net # 1 Loris accaries

Lories accaries is a talented French painter possessing an unique technique of paint. he essentially paints  vehicles and monsters from FW for sale its on ebay.
On most of his miniatures, he manages to give a depiction of a very realistic craquelures, giving a real charm to miniatures.

Eldar Wraithseer

The technique of craquelure he saids to me doesn't work every time, for the simple reason the used material is hydrosoluble. Without going into details, he uses Colorex' white ink which, he makes crack with a hairdryer, the being inconvenience that this ink is intended for the paper and that the technique asks for a lot of experience with the reactions paints/ink.

Great Unclean

Coupled with a very good control of the airbrush the final depiction is worth seeing. I was moreover made personally of small pleasures by supplying me some miniatures of his working.

Interview # 1 Abraham Danglebreech' Battle Board

 

Hi all, here is the first interview which I hope for it will be the first one of a long series.

Abraham Danglebreech delivers us his secrets on the table building.

He possesses at present an army of strange marine and an army of ork which will make probably the appearance on the next interview because the originality and the execution of the painting are really nice.

Q : "what's material do you use to make it?"

A : a Realm of Battle (obviously :D). The texture was made by first using "golden pea gravel" for the larger rocks (mine came from a garden centre) which I stuck down with Araldite. I then used a sieve to scatter a layer of builders sand (from work) over the bulk of it with PVA glue. The grass is a mix of Citadel Dead Grass stuck down in patches with PVA, and the same again but stuck down in clumps using a blob of Citadel Plastic Glue. The tussock grass is Army Painter Highland Tuft and Winter Tuft.

 

Q : "what the approximative final price?"

A : I wouldn't like to say! I managed to get the Realm of Battle for a pretty decent price at Wayland Games. The PVA, sand and gravel I had already. I probably got through two pots of Plastic glue and one lot of Araldite. I used one tub of Dead Grass and about 5 or 6 packs of Army Painter Tuft. Oh yes, and lots of paint.

Q : "How many time to make it?"

A : Pretty much three weekends and all the evenings in between (actually, it may have been more like 4 weekends, can't quite remember)

 

Q : "What was your choice of ground and why this choice?"

A : I wanted to make the board for both fantasy and Sci Fi, so I couldn't add much to it that was specific to a particular genre. I have been basing my Orks, Marines and Fantasy stuff with a moorland theme and so the board started out as being inspired by the landscape about me (moorland with rocks). However, the bulk of the work on the board went on during the riots over here in the UK, and that may have had some influence on the finished look. (I reckon they look like large pieces of burnt toast!)

Q : "What's yours future projects?"

A : At the moment I am trying to get the Marines from Assault on Black Reach painted in time for a game next month. A few of us are giving it a go (I am the only one with any experience having played it all of once!). I also have a Beast of Nurgle conversion to finish. After that I'll probably go back to painting my Orks for a while and get some terrain pieces done for the board. I have an ongoing project which I dip in and out of where I am converting every mutant that appears in "The Enemy Within Campaign" for Warhammer Fantasy Role Play 1st edition. It's taking A G E S !

News # 1

Forge World should once again fill us with 2 news to come.
The Dark eldar tantalus which seems to be an impressive vessel with an armament heavier than raiders.
The price of the beast will be 85£ and it will be available in limited quantity to English Games day on September 25th.

The second news is I think waited since a sacred while by the fans of 40k the version proteus of the land raider dip back the players strange marine in the heart of the heresy, as the tantalus it will be available on the English games day for 80£.

Finally Chapterhouse Studio will allow to have storm raven more balanced behind thanks to a new kit of conversion which I think will satisfy some.
The price of the kit is $18.50 what is reasonable to have a beautiful storm raven in your army.
